TESTIMONY!"Before Joel and I started at Freight House fitness, we had always worked out a little in the gym space in our building but never really made it a priority. With both of our jobs, working hours that were pretty opposite, trying to find some time to spend together in between, what we ate didn't matter to us either. I got tired of all of that showing, I wanted to take care of my body and being newlyweds, I wanted to start our first year married learning healthier habits for our future together. We joined Freight House Fitness back in September 2014 when I saw it on Groupon and loved every bootcamp! We started off going just a few times a week and there was a 90 day challenge going on at that time. We knew it was something that would be good for us but it was Joel who talked me into it. I didn't feel like I had the extra time it would take to go to the gym every day and prep all of my meals and besides that, I could barely do a push up and would be sore for two days after every class when we first started. All of these were excuses that faded away very quickly.
We began our 90 day challenge in January 2015 and I couldn't have been happier with the results! I went into the challenge not focused on losing a ton of weight but toning up and changing my lifestyle of unhealthy habits. The best part was all of the support. Yes, it was great to be able to go through the challenge with my husband but it was even more awesome having Kendra, Sean and the rest of the 90 day challenge group going through it with me. And the meals? We would take a few hours one day of the week (usually Saturday or Sunday for us) and make all of our food for the week that day. The separate personalized meal plans that we each received made it very easy to know what we needed to eat every day and there were plenty of options for what we wanted to eat as well. Finding time for the daily class became a priority. As "busy" as we always say we are, the schedule at freight house works for everyone. I really loved going to the 6am class every day. It started my day off right with so much positive energy from everyone and made me feel like I was really a part of a team. Every week, Sean and Kendra were awesome about checking our progress and offering guidance and encouraging us to keep going when it was tough. It was so worth it!
I lost 12 pounds and am down to just 15% body fat over the course of the 90 day challenge. I feel so much stronger and can actually do multiple push ups now! You will get out of the 90 day challenge exactly what you put into it, it is called a challenge for a reason. Sean and Kendra and the whole team at Freight House Fitness give you all of the tools you need to succeed and when you struggle, there are others going through the exact thing. For now, we continue to go to class every morning at 6am and have learned healthier habits for life. There will be more fitness challenges coming because I am forever Team Freight House Fitness!
