     "Years of unhealthy and negative body image, transformed into eating disorders, has plagued me for years. Two miscarriages later, anxiety and depression added on to my disregard of personal health and well-being. Even after a successful third pregnancy and giving birth to the most beautiful little boy, my symptoms did not disappear. I took medication to help even when i sensed that the fix was only temporary. I put on 45 lbs during pregnancy and retained about 30ish lbs of it until my son turned two. I noticeably struggled to keep up with my toddler. It was not a single instance but many that brought on my 'wake-up call'. With more courage than I ever anticipated I would need, I walked into Freight House Fitness and finally decided to turn tomorrow to today. NO MORE EXCUSES.
     It took me a year to get to my "Before" picture body. Establishing a routine was a challenge. Motivated or not, I consistently pushed myself. I started becoming stronger. Muscle definition was making an appearance. Slowly, I began to lose weight. After a year of persistence, I had lost 20 lbs. These results were gratifying, but above all, I began appreciating my body and its capabilities.
     Over the holiday season, Freight House Fitness introduced a new 30-Day Shred program for people who wanted a push in the right direction but did not necessarily have much weight to lose. It was to start the day after Thanksgiving and ended Christmas Eve, which sounded like torture, but my sister and I figured if we could do this during the holidays and succeed, we could conquer anything. Though the workout requirements pushed us beyond what we thought we were capable of, I wanted the extra challenge and added weekly Aletheia Training with Tyler to slim down and strengthen my core. The nutrition portion proved to be the bigger challenge. I thought having such a big sweet tooth would be my undoing, but learning to nourish and fuel my body with the right foods, right portions and macros, changed the way I thought about food. With the combination of working out consistently and proper nutrition, I was able to achieve a level of fitness I only dreamed of reaching. Honestly, I wanted nothing more than to be my best self.
