Amy gets lean in 90 days!

amy lee before and afterSUCCESS STORYI'm a single mom of three kids with a very busy life. I'd been working out and running consistently over the last five years but was looking for something new. I noticed some of my co-workers headed to work out at lunchtime each day so decided to join them.   I was a little bored with my workouts and wanted something exciting and challenging, that would really push me to the next level, and I found it at Freight House Fitness! I’ve tried many different boot camps (I’m a Groupon junkie!), but Freight House Fitness is by far my favorite.   But, it’s not just the workouts that kept me coming back it’s the community of people. The owners Sean and Kendra are truly engaged and care about seeing each member reach their goals.  The other members are welcoming, talk to new people and provide a healthy sense of competition.  And, there are plenty of times the classes are offered so everyone can find something that works in their schedule.  I’m a taxi driver for my three active kids in the evenings so the noon class worked perfect for me.My co-workers and I would ride to the noon boot camp together and I would hear them talk about the 90 day challenge there were doing.  They were all having great success and since I had been trying to lose 10 lbs for what seemed like forever I thought I’d give it a try.  I needed accountability and help getting my eating back on track but I got more than that.  Sean and Kendra had great idea meal ideas they shared with the group, the flexible dieting plan fit well with my lifestyle and I didn’t have to starve myself.  I also felt myself getting stronger during the workouts each week throughout the challenge.  I’ve never been an athlete or what I felt was a very competitive person, but I competed with myself each week and challenged myself. We did a plank challenge each Friday and by the end of the 90 day challenge I held a plank for 7 minutes!  I think I am most proud of that.  Now my kids and I do a plank challenge at home and my thirteen year old son is determined to beat me one day (keep trying kid!).   During the challenge, I definitely got off track (did I mention it was over the holidays!) but I would just get re-focused and keep the end goal in mind.   I lost 11.2 lbs and 7% bodyfat so I was very happy with my results and proud of myself that I stuck with it.  I might try another 90 day challenge this summer to see how much farther I can push myself, but for now I'm going to bootcamp classes three to four times a week and using the information and knowledge I gained regarding nutrition and diet to keep me on track.  I really love Freight House Fitness and very thankful I found this place!
