Teryn's Year-Long Journey Really Paid Off!!
Teryn's Year Long Journey!
I spent this 6 week challenge preparing for my upcoming 1 year anniversary of macro counting and daily FH visits. Before FH I hadn’t worked out in 5 years. I had every excuse not to…..no sitter, too busy, too tired, list goes on. I didn’t eat healthy at all either. My husband was already a member and took me to FH with him one day aaaannnnddd I didn’t show back up for 3 days lol, I was so sore and was whining to him that maybe that kind of workout just wasn’t for me. I was intimidated by the barbells, used the smallest of weights, struggled with burpees, hated cardio, planks hurt, list also goes on lol. BUT I didn’t want him to see me just quit something so I went back. By the end of the 1 month he paid for I was hooked. After my first couple weeks I joined my 1st challenge and I stayed in challenges ever since because I kept getting results. The challenges kept and still keep me motivated. This last 6 weeks challenge was most special to me. It was coming up on my one year of being fully committed. I’ve never stuck to something this long, I’ve never had results this drastic, I’ve never been this fit and this healthy, my husband was super proud of me, I had inspired so many without really trying to do so, AND I was going to do pictures this time. This was a lot of hard work, it was hard to stay so focused, and so dedicated. I had a lot of days where I had too much going on, it would’ve been just easier to skip or easier to just not do it anymore. But it was also the one thing that made me feel good and happy. It was the one thing that I never canceled, it was the one thing that I made time for, it was the one thing that I made sure I worked around. I would drag my kids there on hottest of summer days with spray bottle/fans and cold wet rags wrapped around their neck and on the coldest of winter days they were in an office sitting in front of the space heater. I make my day extra busy just so I can squeeze in the visit. I made a whole lifestyle change physically & mentally & food wise. It was stressful but it was pleasing, it was hard but it was rewarding.Like I said this 6 wks challenge was special because finally I was the most fittest I had ever been in my life. When I started a year ago I was 150lbs and 40% body fat. Picture day I weighed in at 120lbs and 14% body fat. I cried happy tears multiple times that day. My original goals I had set were 125lbs and 15% and I surpassed both in my year of dedication. I now love the barbells and I love them weighted, love planks and burpees, love heavy weights now, and love hitting PRs. My whole look on life, health, food, my body has changed. THANK YOU FREIGHT HOUSE FITNESS.
Even though Teryn's first transformation was amazing, she decided to keep pushing herself for the rest of the year! Left photo was from July 2017, after her first 90 Day Challenge and right photo is from February 2018!!
