Rosanna Loses 8.8lbs and Leans Out After Learning About Nutrition!
An everyday runner. That basically described my lifestyle before Freight House. Running 5Ks or more sometimes at 4:30 in the mornings before work. Even when I was pregnant with my 3rd child, I would walk a 5k just to get in my mileage. But before then I was never athletic in grade school or high school. I got a little bit into running in college and more so after my second pregnancy, trying to lose all those extra pounds I had gained. But it’s hard to stay in shape when you’re around food all the time. I love food, especially sweets. When I was a child I would find myself looking in my grandmother’s fridge for cool whip and bologna. No. Not eaten together. But I knew that was always stocked in her fridge. Or I could always get a slice of toast with butter and sugar from my other grandmother. And when I was in high school, McDonald’s fries and milkshakes were my go-to faves. Mmmm. Food is love.I had never tried a boot camp until my cousin Corina sent me a Groupon to try it out. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. It was different. I didn’t know what a burpee was or even a plank. I could only handle 8-10 lb dumbbell weights.I consider myself healthy for the most part. I had been going to FH for a while. But I just hadn’t seen the results that I wanted. I had done the first 30 day shred that was offered, but decided to try it again because I hadn’t quite gotten my macros figured out being a semi-vegan/vegetarian.Some days are a struggle. I don’t always have my macros on point. The point is to pick yourself up and get back to it. There’s no such thing as failure. No one is perfect. It’s a lifestyle change, not a quick fix.I leaned out on this challenge and lost 8.8lbs.BF - 17.9%BMI - 16.9BF change - .1% BMI change -1.7%Now I’m doing a 3rd 6 week challenge to challenge myself ... this time as a vegan ... and to build muscle as I go. I’m learning how to think, eat, flex and thrive.
