“I began my weight loss in January 2014 by just trying to make healthier eating decisions.  I had gained over 50 pounds and was really feeling the effects of being so over weight.  I was always tired, so I’d eat. My clothes stopped fitting, so I’d eat.   I was always depressed, so I’d eat.  I decided I would focus on my diet and start being more conscious of what I was actually eating.  I was able to lose about 20 pounds on my own by just tracking and journaling my daily diet.  I felt encouraged and joined  a gym.  I would go to the gym 4 to 5 times a week and work out on the treadmill or elliptical for 30 mins.  Eventually, my 4 to 5 times a weeks would drop to 2 to 3 times a week to just not going at all.  This was pretty standard of my fitness practices.  I would gain weight, get motivated to work out, buy gym memberships, work out for 1 to 2 months, and then just hit a screeching halt.  And so the weight gain and loss yo-yoing continued for the next year.


When I joined Freight House Fitness I was truly ready to make fitness a top priority in my life.  I couldn’t even do a sit up on my first day.   I had never experienced a workout like that before.  I had never pushed myself to work out so hard in my life!  It was challenging but I liked it.  I kept coming back every day and I could feel the difference right away.  I had only been a member for two weeks when the 90 Day Challenge was getting ready to start.  I decided this was exactly what I needed to help me lose the weight and transform my body.


At the beginning of the 90 Day Challenge Sean and Kendra took the time to really get to know me, asked what my goals were, and learned what motivates me.  Sean wrote a personal meal plan for me.  They worked with me on how to better track my diet and helped me understand how macronutrients play a major role. Both were encouraging during the process and always available to answer questions.  Sean and Kendra are extremely passionate about what they do and truly care for their clients and want to see them succeed.  They have created a culture in their gym that you will not find anywhere else!  Doing the 90 Day Challenge has been one of the most positive experiences in my life.  The bonds that are created within the group provide so much support as well as accountability. The knowledge I have gained has helped me to make lifestyle changes and not just a temporary weight loss.

Three months ago I set out on a journey to transform my body.  What I actually accomplished was transforming my spirit and self-worth.  I have always struggled with body issues and being overweight and I have learned to love and accept myself.  Sean and Kendra and the Freight House family have helped me realize I AM WORTH IT!  I have learned that one bad day doesn’t make you, or the process a failure and that every day is a new day!” – Katie
